Kimaathi Spence

Kimaathi is based Manchester. His interest in film making began whilst working in the inner-city as a Youth/Community Arts worker in the late 1980’s. He relocated to London in 1990 to take up an offer as a freelance trainee on a Channel 4/BECTU supported scheme for new entrants (JOBFIT). Upon successful completion of the course in 1992, he was able apply for junior grades within post production and by 1995 was able to gain work as a broadcast editor working for several television studios.
